Not to be a nudge but I was looking forward to the blogroll. My favorite podcasts and show hosts are dropping like flies. Your blogroll was another guilty moment pleasure to keeping in touch with the blogging community and what they're playing. I know it's a ton of work but honestly...err...I want the return of the blogroll you promised. *sniff sniff*

I'm all patched and playing to albeit only small play sessions at a time. Lots of things I'd like to see improved that to appear very difficult. Such as, I don't mind the Sector Zone as a navigation medium but I do wish they'd make it look more realistic instead of map-like bareness. This would pump up the RP and not break your immersion as much when you zone there, like when you exist Earth's space dock/station/thingy/complex. I'd also like a way to decide or determine missions that have ground combat. Sometimes that's what I'm in the mood for but I've yet to see a way to pick those out.

I'm enjoying the space combat much more than I every enjoyed EVE, not slight to EO or CCP. This combat is more engaging and interactive because you have to flying the ship (no auto orbiting) while also positioning yourself to use certain weapons, etc. However, I am wondering if this is going to still be fun 60 days from now when space looks like - well more space. I'll be in a bigger ship fighting bigger ships but will that feel different enough to still be fun? Guess we shall see.

Ceadrick, I'm running STO on a 2.4 ghz Dual Core with an nvidia 260gtx video card and six gigs of RAM, and the game runs just fine. I've yet to have any noticeable issues, and I'm running the game on fairly high settings. If your computer is only a year or two old it's probably better than mine, so I'm sure you'd be fine.

I very much agree that a somewhat slow pace is a good choice with STO - as well as many other MMOs, for that matter. I only play some in the weekends, but I look forward to that time.

@Pete, @Hudson -- I definitely think a slower pace works best with Star Trek Online. I'm not a really fast leveler on any MMO. Sometimes that can lead to a loss of momentum, but... I paid for a year of this game up front. I don't want to finish it in a month.

@Esri (Dax?) -- yeah, STO has definitely grabbed me and is not letting go. Which is unfortunate, as I should be writing about other things, too!

@TheRemedy -- thanks!

@Ceadrick -- I have a quad core chip and the game runs without issues at a fast framerate. I don't think anyone with a fairly up to date machine will have any troubles.

@Kae -- yeah, I kinda thought they were mine to keep. Oh well.....

I don't think you can trade officers once you commission them, regardless of if you've trained any of their skills.

See you in the Alpha Quadrant. :)

So how does the game run? Do you have a high end machine? How are your frames per second. I have a duel core machine a year or so old with a medium video card. Do you think it'll run smooth enough to play? I played Conan, War, WOW, LOTRO, just fine.
Thanks for the Info.
